Overview
Founded in 1979, the Town Crier Group of Community Newspapers consists of nine monthly editions home delivered to the most prominent neighbourhoods of the Toronto core. The Town Crier can also be found in all Metropolitan Toronto Libraries, plus numerous specialty locations. Independently verified by the Canadian Circulation Audit Bureau (CCAB), the Town Crier reaches almost 1 million readers each month. All editions have common sections and supplements - from Kids, Education and Camps, Gardening, and Home Renovation - to Classifieds, local political news and regular community columnists.

From Finch Avenue south to the Lakeshore, the Town Crier takes pride in bringing to Toronto the kind of hometown newspaper that most small communities enjoy. Our focus is on the stories that aren't being told... the positive things that have lasting and ripple effects in our community.

Special Features
The Town Crier continues to emphasize the positive-type news stories and feature articles that distinguish it from daily newspapers. We frequently break the stories that are eventually covered by the daily newspapers.

Our niche is community news - stories about ordinary people doing extraordinary things, people helping people, setting trends, making their communities better places for all.

From our annual Athlete of the Year awards that inspire others, to our special 12-month Town Crier Local Hero series - our special series and ongoing editorial are exemplified by showcasing individuals who make a difference in their neighbourhoods, and provide deserved attention to recreation information and community sports.

Special Features
Town Crier's various in-house specialty guides provide their readers with valuable community resources, category by category - whether in print or online. To view some of these Guides online, please go to Multicom's Supplements page by clicking here.

From Holiday Guides to help make the gift giving season easier to manage, Camp & Education Guides that provide parents with a wide range of options available for their children's education, to Home & Garden Guides that highlight a season's freshest trends in home décor and landscaping.

Complimented with targeted promotions and contests as well as their own online versions, Town Crier's specialty Guides and Supplements are second to none - for the benefit of readers and advertisers alike.
